One look, one moment and I was completely defenseless.
One touch, one embrace and I was utterly consumed.
One kiss, one caress and that’s all it took.
One look and thirty-four year old Parker Stone knew his life would never be the same. She called to him unlike anything ever had in his life, sparking an unbridled desire and captivating him completely.
One touch and twenty-eight year old Liz Del Rio wasn’t sure she’d be able to walk away. Experiencing a life full of disappointment and heartache, she wasn’t looking for a relationship, let alone love and all the risks that came with it. Every time life had taught her the same lesson: not to let people in because they always leave and when they leave, it leaves scars upon your soul.
One kiss sealed their fate and they knew they would never be able to live without one another.
.Liz and Parker embed themselves into each other’s world. Passion burns bright and fast, but what happens when your lives are connected in ways you could have never imagined?
Secrets from Liz’s past threaten to break not only what they have, but who she is as they learn that once love is etched in stone nothing can make it crumble.
We have Parker and Liz. Parker knew she was the one the moment he set eyes on Liz. She wasn’t so convinced, but she was definitely drawn to him. His persistence wore down the walls she was so careful to construct around her. Neither of them was looking for love, but love is exactly what they got. They just didn’t realize that the world is such a small place and that they had so many people in common. But not everything goes smoothly for Liz and Parker, there are many who would make it their goal to see them split apart. One person in particular and he’ll go to any lengths to see it done.
I loved Liz and Parker. I loved their chemistry. I loved the easy way they fell together and how easy staying together seemed. I’ll admit, Parker had me sighing a few times. He’s a very swoony leading man. Most men need to read this book and learn a thing or five. I can’t say too much. We do see some familiar faces in this story that was in Crown’s Chance at Love
. BUT it isn’t the ones you think it is going to be. AND this isn’t THEIR story. So, it’s truly a story of six degrees of separation.
Ms. Statham’s world continues to build on the foundation of her first story. I love how immersed the reader feels in the locations and the places that Ms. Statham takes them to. I really do like the over-lap with the first story without truly intersecting that story. The stories bump, or brush, against one another without truly getting involved with one another. This book didn’t suffer from the same issues as the first, which really helps my enjoying of this story. So, question is, would I recommend this book. Oh yes! Parker alone is enough to recommend this book. Parker with Liz….most definitely would recommend it.
