Never Never (part 2) – Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher

never never 2

I own a copy of this book. No review requested. All thoughts are 100% my own. You can find my review of Never Never (part 1) here.

“Never forget that I was your first real kiss. Never forget that you’ll be my last.

And never stop loving me between all of them.

Never stop, Charlie.

Never forget.”

Silas races against time as more truths unravel, while others twist tighter together. And now, the stakes are higher as Silas’ control slips and others begin to point fingers. Charlie is in trouble and he must be the one to bridge the chasm between their past and their present. Because somewhere between I love yous and Never Nevers and Never Agains, a truth they can’t imagine, beckons to be found.

“Where are you, Charlie?”

My Thoughts

If you’ve read the last book, you know that Charlie and Silas can’t remember anything about their lives. And they had to pick up parts and try to piece together their lives without others knowing that they don’t know. You also know how that last book ends. And that’s where THIS book picks up. And now Silas has to find Charlie when he can’t even remember the life that he and Charlie share. And everyone is looking to him for answers that he doesn’t have.

There’s truly not much I can say about this book without having to explain too much and giving away the mystery. I will say that things aren’t as they seem even from the first book. The mystery surrounding their families gets even deeper, now it’s a matter of trying to figure out the truth and why Charlie and Silas lost their memories. And though this book left off on a more positive note, the future is still so uncertain that it leaves me frightened for both of them. And truly, how this series is going to end, is still VERY much in the air. Will it be a Happily Ever After like Ms. Hoover likes to write, or will it delve into darkness and not so happy like Ms. Fisher likes to write. We as readers TRULY have NO.FREAKING.CLUE. And it’s driving THIS GIRL NUTS!

Ms. Hoover and Ms. Fisher continue tightening the weave of this web they’re creating and I’m definitely caught in its snare. I’m still clueless to figuring out who wrote which parts, because of its seemless nature. I will say that Silas and Charlie have their own extremely unique voices. And my heart hurts for both of them. And though this book ends on a more positive note, my heart is still in my throat waiting to find out what happens next to these two kids. I’m still begging these authors to please PLEASE go gentle on my heart. But still it could go either way. So would I recommend this book? OH HELLS YEAH! But I’d not torment my friends and ask them to get it now. I think I’d make them wait until the last one comes out, because even the most hardcore of cliffhanger lover might still have issues waiting with this one.
