If you love the Wild Wild West, you’ll love this steamy hot historical set in the Montana Territory!

Emma James felt secure in her life. Money, social standing and the protection of her step-brother. Or so she thought. When she discovers his dark secrets, he turns on her and sells her to a western brothel to keep her quiet. There, she’s forced to work or participate in an auction. A virgin auction…and she’s the prize.

One look at Emma James and Whitmore Kane and Ian Stewart know she would belong to them. Marriage was the only way to truly claim her…so they bid and bid well. As their bride, they return to the Bridgewater Ranch and teach her the ways to please not one husband, but two. But danger has tracked Ian around the world and threatens their newfound relationship. Together, can they fight the demons of the past while forging a future?

This is the first book in the Bridgewater Ménage Series, where you’ll meet all of the men in Kane and Ian’s army regiment and discover their unusual beliefs on marriage. Read the entire series to follow along as the men, two or three at a time, claim their brides.

Emma found herself in a brothel, her step-brother selling her to the madam. When the woman realized that she was a virgin, she was given a choice, work in the brothel to work off the debt, or go for the marriage auction. She opted to marry.  Kane and Ian took one look at her and knew she had to be theirs.

They belonged to an unusual group of men in Montana who wed two to three men to a single woman. They knew that Emma would need to adjust, but they had faith that they could bring her around to their way of thinking. And boy howdy, did they!

I will say that the men on this ranch were something else. I felt that the story was too short and not enough character development was offered. But maybe it’s like many series, it’s something that builds over the course of the series. I’m not sure. The scenes were steamy and plentiful, but not overly much so that it felt like it was a thin plot wrapped around copious amounts of sex. But I would be remiss to say that sex did feature heavily in the book, but then if you had two randy ranchers, that’s twice the amount of sex…

Ms. Vale offers a different view of life in Montana than many other western romances that I’d read. Most of the time when dealing with menage stories, it’s a contemporary romance, so this was unusual. It was a quick read. And the backstory is something interesting and it’ll be cool to see if it carries through the rest of the stories. Would I recommend this book? Sure, if you’re looking for a quick reading historical romance with some serious kink in it. This book is for you.

USA Today Bestselling author

Who doesn’t love the romance of the old West? Vanessa Vale takes the sensual appeal of rugged cowboys a step further with her bestselling books set in the Montana Territory. They are much more than just sexy historical westerns. They’re deliciously naughty reads that sometimes push the boundaries of fantasy. It’s pure escapism with quite a few very hot, very alpha cowboys.

When she’s not writing, Vanessa savors the insanity of raising two boys, is figuring out how many meals she can make with a pressure cooker, and teaches a pretty mean karate class. She considers herself to be remarkably normal, exceedingly introverted and fairly vanilla, which does not explain her steamy stories and her fascination with cowboys, preferably more than one at a time.

She lives in the Wild Wild West where there’s an endless source of ‘research’ material.
