Naomi -O’Malley ***COVER REVEAL***

Cover Reveal: Naomi by Mya O’Malley

We are proud to present the cover for Naomi by Mya O’Malley, scheduled to release on March 30th! This paranormal romance is the sequel to Maggie, which Mya released in August 2016.

Naomi by Mya O’Malley

Naomi has a knack for attracting attention from ethereal beings—whether she wants it or not. Newly engaged to her sexy neighbor, Bryce, she has little time to celebrate and plan for her upcoming wedding, because no sooner does she wrap up a heartbreaking cold case than she finds herself right back where she started, searching for answers alongside ghostly spirits.

This time, however, Naomi learns that things are not what they seem as a man from her past quickly becomes her worst nightmare. If she’s not careful, this man might crush her hopes and dreams forever as he proves to be her most difficult opponent yet.

Still, Naomi tries to focus on her relationship with Bryce. Can it withstand head games and cruel intentions? Naomi makes it her mission to keep Bryce and his daughter safe from harm, but will true love be tough enough to withstand her adversaries?

Naomi must keep her eyes wide open and question everything— and everyone—in order to survive.

Memories of the not so distant past slammed Naomi. Images of Ryan and Maggie . . .

The ghost that had all but consumed her. Maggie had reached out to Naomi, demanding peace. Naomi admitted to herself that she had become obsessed at that time in her life. Preoccupied with putting both Maggie and Ryan to rest. Luckily, Bryce was loyal and patient to the core during the first hectic months of their new relationship.

What would he say now, knowing that a spirit was back? Knowing that this time it wasn’t the sweet spirit of a girl named Maggie or a quirky, kindhearted man that needed her help?

This time it was worse, far worse.

This time the spirit was unsettled, tortured—and to make matters even daunting . . .

He was her ex-boyfriend.

T’s Thoughts!

Thomas…We’ve known about Thomas since book 1. He’s the pack leader and his wife Charlene is the heart and soul of the pack, even though she’s human. In (Un)Bidden we learned how they met and the things that happened through her eyes, and in this one, we get in his head. And like with the other books in her series, the companion books follow closely with the Jot6 book, BUT not everything is as the women thought. Also, huge difference in this book is we are getting a lot of background information on the werewolves themselves and the plot overall is THICKENING like WHOA!

I’m not sure what all to say because these characters are beginning to feel like family to me. If you count all the books there are now 9 of them. And Thomas and Charlene factor in EVERY-SINGLE-ONE. So, the world is growing and we’re being fed information gradually until now knowing what I know so far (which isn’t much because it’s only the next book, (Dis)Content), things are about to come to a head. This makes me both anxious and fearful of what’s coming.

Thomas isn’t who I thought he’d be. I really was surprised by his side of things and I was doubly surprised by the amount of restraint he showed considering they didn’t really have as ‘civil’ a pack as there is now. At least by human standards. But he stayed the course and true to himself and I loved watching him go from the foundation of what a good leader SHOULD be to being a great leader. I also liked that we could get some in Grey’s head. I really do like that elder.

I’m going to leave you with a little bit of advice, since I’ve already posted a huge wall of text. Read the books together. It makes the reading experience so full and rich. Or read Jot6 book 1 and then its companion, then Jot6 book 2 and then its companion. But don’t read all of the Jot6 books, THEN start on the companions. You could…but you’d miss out just how awesome they are together.

A’s Thoughts!

Hey guys! A here with my thoughts on Thomas’ Heart by Melissa Haag. This is the 4th book in the Judgment of the Six companion Novels,  and It’s even more amazing than the last one (which I don’t even know how that’s possible!)

This is so much more than an alternative POV. One of my absolute favorite things about these stories is how much they add to the women’s books. I love a good strong heroine,  but in alternate POVs their men can sometimes come off looking weak by comparison. The men in these books keep their strength and “alphaness”  because they have so much knowledge the Judgments don’t.

Thomas’ story has SUCH a different feel from Charlene’s. It’s a bit darker and more intense. It in no way feels like the same book…… And I LOVED it! There are some revelations in this book that will knock your socks off.

If you’re someone who doesn’t like to “waste your money” on alternative POV books, this is a series that will make you eat your words! Melissa does a phenomenal job of making the books their own story and yet she somehow manages to make them follow the original plot as well. There’s no way I could give this one anything less than 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮

Warrior (Relentless Series Book 4) – Karen Lynch

warrior karen lynch

The warrior has finally met his match.

Nikolas Danshov is the Mohiri’s finest warrior, fearless and lethal with any weapon. For almost two hundred years, he has devoted his life to keeping humans safe from the demons that walk the earth. Revered by his people, he is a legend in his own time, a warrior undefeated in battle, and prepared for anything. Until her.

On a routine job in Maine, a twist of fate brings Nikolas face-to-face with the one person he had never expected to meet – his mate. Sara Grey is unlike anyone he’s ever met. Beautiful and fiery, she ignites his desire, while her innocence and vulnerability awaken a fierce protectiveness in him. Now all he can think of is keeping his mate safe from the dangers that hunt her, even if she fights him at every turn.

You know Sara’s story. Now read it again, through the eyes of her warrior.

T. Here –

If you’ve read the Relentless Series, you know that it is told from Sara’s perspective. She’s a 17yo girl (who turns 18 in the series) and she’s used to the fact that there are all sorts of creatures living in this world, not just those that humans believe there to be. She doesn’t understand her place in it, and all that changes in that series. She has an, oftentimes, mysterious and broody protector and mate in Nikolas. This book is all of those books in his point-of-view.

You’ll get a few other side characters in this story that you don’t really get in the other, but not many, and you really need to know your stuff in the other series or several things will leave you scratching your head here. So, if you read this, make sure that you brushed up on the other books first, or read them in tandem with one another. Overall I enjoyed this book and I think that Ms. Lynch did a great job at creating this book without it feeling like a rewrite. I would recommend this book, I think it adds to the series and rounds it out really well.

A. Here –

We’ve all had this happen…..your best friend goes and sees a movie and comes back telling you how AMAZING the movie was….the next week she won’t shut up about it, and repeatedly begs you to go see it….so you do…..but then you’re just kinda like……Meh. Unfortunately that is what happened to me with the release of Warrior. I don’t think there was anything wrong with the story itself, but more likely that I was SO EXCITED about it that I over hyped it to myself.

If you’re reading and expecting a bunch of new content, you will be disappointed. That’s not what this book is about. There are a few new things peppered in Warrior, but for the most part it is legitimately just an alternative POV.

I was surprised at how different Nikolas was from Sara’s perception of him as well as how he sees her. It was cool to finally see Sara as just a strong fiesty warrior, and realize that he saw her that way long before she saw herself that way. There is a new ending in Nikolas’ story that is absolutely adorable. It will give you all the feels. The story definitely didn’t answer all my questions….I can’t wait for novellas and other characters’ stories to see if we ever get all the answers.

Overall I enjoyed the story, but I was left feeling a little disenchanted with Warrior. (As I said before this may be entirelymy own fault)…..but for that reason… I can only give it 🌮🌮🌮🍕

The Destined (Dreamland Series Book 3) – E.J. Mellow ***RELEASE DAY BLITZ***

I searched for you in the stars tonight.
But I found none
that burned as bright as you.

—Part of a letter from Dev to Molly

With the loss of Terra’s greatest weapon, the war against darkness escalates rapidly, and time is on no one’s side. While Dev struggles to keep his home and hope alive, Molly and Rae find themselves forced to confront a desperately kept secret and quickly learn that a life-altering sacrifice is the asking price to restore order.

Nightmares, betrayal, the fate of two worlds, and one man’s hunger for vengeance lead Molly down a twisted and dark path she fears she might never come back from. Cornered into making a heart-wrenching decision, Molly teeters between deliverance and damnation. Who is worth saving most—a nation or the one she loves?

From Award Winning author, E.J. Mellow, comes the breathtaking conclusion of The Dreamland Series. A story that will take you on a spine-tingling and gripping ride through self-sacrifice, the true power of love, and the importance of friendship.

Blog Images

We’ve known Dev and Molly. Ever since she started dreaming and this larger than life dream man became part of her reality, we’ve known them. Our hearts soared with them and broke with them. And after the ending of The Divide, I was nervous for what was in store for these two, Earth, and Terra.

I will say that my heart was broken in the start of this book. It was raw and painful. I wanted to climb in bed and not get out. Then when the answer to all our prayers came, I BAWLED. Like BAWLED. It hurt me. Though I know it was what would really make everyone happiest especially those parties directly involved, my heart shattered. Then we were introduced to a new character, one that wasn’t well loved by most, but became so crucial by the end. UGH! ANOTHER bawling jag. But again, it was best for all involved and all ended well, but STILL. I had to put this book down a couple of times and get over myself. But wow. What a finish to the series!

Again, Ms. Mellow does NOT dole out the mellow feelings. She catapults you straight to the heavens ONLY to plummet you to the depths of Hades. But I’ll tell you it’s worth every moment of the ride. Her world building is non-stop. Most stop building it once they’ve brought the characters into it, but we were still learning things about this world up until the last chapter. Her characters breathe life into the story and it makes me wish I could call Becca and see how everyone’s doing. So, yeah, the series is done, BUY THEM ALL and INHALE them. You won’t regret it. You’ll just snort to yourself about how could she call herself “mellow”, when reading her books leaves you feeling anything but.

Rogue (Relentless Series Book 3) – Karen Lynch

Rogue Karen Lynch

Sara Grey is done hiding and done being afraid. The Master thinks he has her running scared, but she’s taking matters into her own hands and taking her life back. With the help of her friends, she sets out to find the one person who can answer her questions about her past, and who may be able to lead them to the Master.

On her journey, Sara faces new challenges and dangers, and learns that the world of good and evil is not as clear cut as she had believed. She makes new friends, unexpected allies, and reconnects with people from her past. As her powers continue to change and grow, she transforms from a struggling girl into a strong young warrior.

But at what cost? How much is Sara willing to sacrifice in her need for independence and her quest for the truth? And will her newfound strength be enough to save her and the people she loves when she finally comes face-to-face with her powerful nemesis? Nothing could have prepared her for what is to come, and it will take everything in her to survive the final test of courage and love.

Blog Images

We met Sara and Nikolas way back in Relentless when she found out that she was not only Mohiri like Nikolas, but she was half fae. But the vampires never gave her any sort of break. And as of the end of Refuge, she’d set out to take the fight to them, rather than wait around for an attack. This was against everyone’s wishes, but she had some loyal friends who stuck by her and her decisions and made sure that she stayed as safe as possible. But like with all adventures, things don’t always fall according to plan. And Sara and Nikolas learn that they are better when they work together rather than against one another.

I really loved this book. I liked it better than Refuge, but I understand the purpose of that book. I also like Sara more in this book than in that one. She grew up in her time out on her own. Nikolas learned that he couldn’t be that overbearing boyfriend either, because he was strangling the very thing he loved about her. Jordan was really awesome, as were Roland and Peter. I wish I could say more. I will only say that I was right about who the Master was. I was right this whole time!

Ms. Lynch’s final installment in the Relentless Trilogy (not counting the POV companion book that she’s putting out sometime later this year) was an amazing finish to an amazing series. I will say that I like that it ended where it started. It’s like all things coming full circle, yet not, because nothing was the same about this time around. I can’t wait to see what else Ms. Lynch decides to put out. She’s definitely an author to keep your eyes on. So, I guess it isn’t such a strange idea that I would definitely recommend this book. But I most definitely do! And now that the series is complete, there’s nothing stopping you…go on. You know you want to, you won’t regret it, I promise.

Bound by Prophecy (Bound Series Book 3) – Stormy Smith

bound by prophecy stormy smith

Amelia Bradbury is finally free from Queen Julia and Cresthaven, but she isn’t safe. The Keeper power runs rampant inside her, and only an ultimate act of selflessness will be able to contain the darkness threatening Amelia’s sanity and the future of the Immortal race.

Aidan Montgomery refuses to give up on Amelia. Once she’s rescued from the Keeper’s hold, he intends to prove his love is more than a side effect of the prophecy, even if doing so leads him away from his pack on a journey that will irrevocably change them both.

When the past and present collide, and the shocking origin of the Immortals is revealed, Amelia and Aidan are forced back to Cresthaven to end a war that never should have started.

Blog Images

We’re back with Amelia, Aiden, Micah and the rest of the gang. Amelia knows what she has to do in order to bring all the people back together so that the immortal races can find peace, and Julia’s reign of terror can be put to an end. Aiden has his obligations too, and not just to Amelia. But he knows that her end game is what is best for everyone in the end, even if it costs them right now. So, they head off on their trek in this final installment of their story. (Worry not, my faithful, Ms. Smith said she’s not finished with this universe, only Aiden and Amelia’s story.)

Since Aiden uttered those words that I quoted from the first book, he’s been an awesome character. Like one of those, you tell you sons they need to be like. Amelia is a strong female character with only minor waffling. I think it is because I’m in my 40s and these characters are young, but the whole “does he really love me, or is it this fated thing only” really gets to me. And while, I do understand, it doesn’t make me not want to choke them when it’s happening. Luckily, it’s only a very SMALL issue in this book and is quickly resolved. I’ve read series where this is throughout the ENTIRE FREAKING series and it REALLY bugs me. Other than that, I loved this book. It was a perfect conclusion to this part of the series. I will say, though, there were a few things that surprised me. Some, I had NO clue that it was going to lead that way, though in hindsight, it was perfect and made things all the better.

Ms. Smith’s world of immortals is engrossing and all encompassing. It feels natural and that all the things we see and feel while we’re in her world are organic and nothing is forced or contrived. I can’t wait to read the Christmas novella that she recently put out, and who she’s going to write about next. (PLEASE let it be Micah!!!) So, now that I’ve finished this particular part of the series, would I suggest it? I would. Get Bound by Duty, but make sure you have room in your budget for Bound by Spells and Bound by Prophecy.

Stormy Smith calls Iowa’s capital home now, but was raised in a tiny town in the Southeast corner of the state. She grew to love books honestly, having a mom that read voraciously and instilled that same love in her. She knew quickly that stories of fantasy were her favorite, and even as an adult gravitates toward paranormal stories in any form.

Writing a book had never been an aspiration, but suddenly the story was there and couldn’t be stopped. When she isn’t working on, or thinking about, her books, Stormy’s favorite places include bar patios, live music shows, her yoga mat or anywhere she can relax with her husband or girlfriends.
