Welcome to Ednaugust here on Textual Love. This month’s Author Spotlight falls on Ednah Walters / E.B. Walters. We’re going to be having an interview with the Author herself as well as Character Interviews from some of your favorite books as well as reviews of her Fitzgerald Family Series and fun look back posts to her other series and reviews plus a giveaway later on in the month.

We’re back with the Fitzgerald Family. First we met Ashley in Slow Burn, and we get to see her again in this book, but THIS book is more about Jade. Lex Fitzgerald’s baby sister. The one everyone in the family is super protective over because of her heart condition. She’s a professor at the university when Vince Knight stalks in and claims her Mom had something to do with a stolen artifact. And their dangerous and insane journey begins.

Jade had been married before and she was verbally and emotionally ravaged by her ex-husband. But she’s determined to be a new, more assertive woman and the means with which she chooses to assert herself cracked me up sometimes, and at others it gave my heart flutters because I was afraid that it could have went so much worse for her. Vince was hardened man, he’s seen all sorts of conflict and situations in his career as a journalist. He was the one people sent into war torn countries to get the scoop. Now, he’s working on something personal, and he was not expecting the sultry curves of Jade Fitzgerald.

I really enjoyed these characters. They weren’t afraid to take chances in life and with each other. Jade is surrounded by a family that loves her beyond anything and they show that they’re willing to risk their own necks for her, even going so far to have their job threatened. I’m sure many of the Fitzgerald’s that we’ve met in the book so far will get their own story. Eddie, Chase, Baron, Faith, and Lex (who we know from Impulse {free at the time of writing this] and Indulge {99c at the time of writing this}).

Ms. Walters has this ability to world build without you realizing that she’s doing it. When you read any of her books its like you already know all about what’s happening out in the world without needing to be told what’s happening. And this Fitzgerald family is no different. I started off reading Impulse (though I know it’s not TECHNICALLY a Fitzgerald Family Series book but rather the start of the Infinitus Billionaires Series, he’s still a Fitzgerald daggummit!). So I know I’m backward. I hit the end and went to the beginning and started the family series. I can’t say enough that I love about this family and the writing style of Ms. Walters. I positively love it. So if you need to ask….Would I recommend this book? Oh yes! I most definitely would! Make sure you read Slow Burn (Free at the time of writing this) first, because you won’t want to miss Ashley and Ron’s story. Also, nookie heat. There is nookie. It’s sensual and steamy and not bluntly worded. If you need more heat, read the Infinitus Billionaires Series. If you want less heat, read her Runes Series (penned as Ednah Walters). She truly has a little something for everyone.
